Our services


Outpost London provides practical, non-contractual information on living in London for Shell Employees and their families. Our goal is to help ease the transition and settling in process to the new location. Our services include:

  • Pre-arrival contact to allow newcomers to ask questions before they depart.
  • Assistance with any aspect of settling in to your new location.
  • A welcome pack of information about living in London in general, London with children and a detailed guide for partners looking at Career and Development options.
  • A quarterly “settling in to London” coffee morning with general information about medical, schooling, career and development and helpful hints about life in London.
  • A quarterly E-Newsletter to expatriates and partners.
  • Open house coffee mornings to network with other expatriates and partners.
  • Events and workshops for expatriates and partners that have included “Living and Working with the British”, “Culture Shock”, and author Robin Pascoe discussing her book “A Moveable Marriage”.
  • Coffee Mornings hosted by our area coordinators to give spouses/partners a chance to get to know each other and visit different areas of London.
  • An extensive library with resources on employment, cross-cultural experiences, as well as information on the local area and overseas locations.
  • Distribution of the magazine “Destinations” to expatriates and families.
  • Assistance with information about your new location when it becomes time to leave.
